dive into philosophical underground with me....

7art.gallery is showcasing my travel photography and taking you on a walk with me to places I have been and books I read throughout my journey.

Its title adapted from the book 7arts from fernando puma, which was falling into place and time as I lived in israel.

I never imagined that my feets will walk this ground in another land. My interest in politics and culture brought me 2014 to India and 2016 for the very first time to israel where I crossed boarders to the westbank, jordan and sinai. Where I was diving deeper into the unknown and walking barefood on the deserted landscape and rocks with the question how should we live? From Roman Krznaric

As a child, I remember I was into enceklopedias about ancient art and history, drawing runs and the hebrew alphabet.

Why I’m telling you that? I want to remember you about something .

India has been magical. The smell of incense everywhere. Crowded places. Pujas and Ceremonys to discover around every corner. I moved from place to place to soak in all the magic and chaos - beautiful nature and a diverse culture. Ancient mythology, religion, hinduism and mysticism always sparked my interest.

I started to think about in what I want to believe and what I can contribute to this earth - seeing this world in all their duality. The Bhagavad Gita, the so called “Bible of Hinduism” also speaks about.

While visiting the Sri Aurobindo ashram in Puduchery, a book from Sri Aurobindo opened my eyes to look at things differently. You are here - what are you seeking for?

Yoga at that time wasn’t on my agenda, but since 2015 it became an important practice in my life, which I furthermore practiced 2018 in Thailand at Mannu Yoga.

I’m very privileged, to move freely. Especially beeing in places in the east and crossing borders to terretories affected by ongoing wars and historic conflicts. I have been at refugee camps and got into profound discussion about culture, religion, social juistice and the dreams of our humanity.

Another book I would like to mention in the context of culture is a book from Erin MeyerThe culture Map” which gives a very good explanation about the understanding of cultural diversity. Is Equity an illusion or something to preach!?

..everywhere we are, is the paradise - its how we look at things, its what we create.

“Without first developing an awareness for who we are, why we do what we do, and why we think what we think, the search for true purpose and meaning will remain an uphill battle. This special form of consciousness alone is a proven contributor to happiness and satisfaction. Slow and steady progress towards reinforcing new patterns, new beliefs, and new habits is how true transformation takes place. ‘everyday we become’

This is how we learn to live in accordance with our true purpose, following our intuition before succumbing to the influences in our external reality. “ [Sean Grabowski]

“Breathing Life Into something we have already almost forgotten.” A well selected Art Collection of the book 7arts, edited with my personal touch.
